The easiest launch point is from the steps on the other side of the river, however there are some entry points on the Buon Apps (restaurant) side. There is a drop but it is doable, getting the board into the water is no problem its just lifting it out. I have a strap that allows me to lift out of the water if needs be, so that might be an idea for you. Get directions to this location,

There is a picture of an old launch in node 3 on the virtual tour that gives you a better idea of the height of the drop. It is worth noting that sometimes a rope is stretched across the river to stop people going beyond that point. However, that is more to do with preventing anyone from going down the weir than restricting paddle boarders. If its there you will have to hop over or under (think of it as core skills practise).Unclip your leash just in case see leash safety video below.

Paddle board Leash River Safety

A good video demonstrating what can happen if your leash becomes caught in flowing water. A quick release waist belt is better if you intend to do river paddle boarding.
