English Skiing: Weather forecasts & Location for Ski-Allenheads, Weardale Ski Club, Yad Moss Ski tow & Lake District Ski Club

Brief weather overview of 4 UK Ski resorts.

Last updated on May 6th, 2024

There are 4 Ski resorts – yes real snow ski resorts in the North of England and they are brilliant, although I have only skied 3, the one I’ve missed still looks great. Three are located near each other see Ski Map Below

Yad Moss Ski Tow

There is loads of information on the Yad Moss website so please visit there. Links open in a new tab. Below is an extract from their site.

There is plenty of space for everyone to park but please stick to one side of the road only.  Alternatively park off the carriageway altogether by digging out your space, if necessary. You must leave plenty of room for the snow plough and other heavy vehicles to pass easily, at all times. See ‘A Few Rules’

The ski tow, ticket office, club room and toilets are a steep 10-minute walk above the car parking. The OS Grid Reference for the ticket office is NY 774 377.  See  our piste map

Yadmoss Webcams

Yad Moss webcam images update every 10 minutes throughout the day and end at about 4 pm. For traffic cameras they should update the same frequency but for 24 hrs. You may need to force the page to reload to get the latest image. Usually the ctrl + f5 key on Windows machines and shortcut Command(⌘)-Shift-R on Macs.

Weardale Ski Slope

There is loads of information on the Weardale website so please visit there. Links open in a new tab. Below is an extract from their site.

Weardale Ski Club is a friendly club offering skiing/snowboarding, when conditions are favourable, in the North of England on REAL SNOW. Historically this has been between 5 and 45 days in a season.

Ticket and price information on their website here

There is obviously loads of information on the Ski-Allanheads website so please visit there. Links open in a new tab. Below is an extract from their site.

Based on the edge of the Northumbrian village of Allenheads, we offer excellent skiing and boarding whenever there is snow.

The ski area has a good slope with two rope tows to get you to the top.

We are a volunteer-run, local club. To ski with us you need to join and pay an annual membership fee. Once you are a member you can come along whenever you like.
